GREEN COFFEE
Importing green coffee involves much more than just buying coffee. It means understanding it as a living raw material, influenced by its origin, harvest, processing, climate and logistics, factors that determine its stability in storage, its behaviour when roasted and its consistency in the cup.
While purchasing focuses on price and availability, working with coffee using technical criteria allows the roaster to plan better, adjust profiles and maintain a consistent supply throughout the year. At Xorxios, we have been doing this for decades. We were the first importers dedicated solely to speciality coffee in Spain and we continue to work directly with origins and roasters to provide not only green coffee, but also knowledge, context and foresight.

Green coffee certificates
We work with Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance and Organic EU certified coffees, guaranteeing responsible practices throughout the entire supply chain. These certifications ensure verifiable criteria for environmental sustainability, traceability, working conditions and compliance with international standards, allowing roasters and brands to incorporate certified coffees into their catalogues with transparency, consistency and regulatory support, without compromising quality or roasting performance.

Logistics and storage designed for green coffee
Green coffee is a living and sensitive raw material. Having logistics and storage facilities specifically adapted to coffee allows its physical and sensory characteristics to be preserved from origin to roasting.
Controlling storage conditions, using appropriate protection systems and managing stock with a focus on rotation and traceability help to maintain the quality and consistency of each batch.
For the roaster, this means working with stable coffees, reducing waste and having the confidence that the coffee received will behave in the roaster as previously evaluated.
